Welcome back friends! You may be reading the title asking, “what is a capsule wardrobe?” In my opinion its one of the most stress free ways to put a stylish look together and narrow down the clutter in your closet! The point of a wardrobe capsule is to streamline your closet to have only the necessities, and when everything is “neutral” you can mix and match different bottoms and tops to wear multiple different looks with the same pieces!
Today I am going to be showing you a couple of my favorite looks using a lot of the same pieces! Starting off, I love a good pair of white pants! There are so many ways to dress them up or down. I Paired mine with this neutral plaid blazer, which I can also throw over top of a lot of different outfits!

In this next photo I paired the same white pants, with a camel colored sweater and a denim jacket! As you can imagine, I could pair the top half of this outfit with any bottoms and because its neutral, it will match! I did add a little fun print by adding a leopard shoe!

You can see I like to accessories with camel colored hand bags, shoe, and belts! I feel like that color goes with anything and helps break up the look! Another tip I can give is to layer! Layering always helps you look more put together and adds a lot of interest to an otherwise boring outfit! In the photo below I slipped on this white lace cami, and a pair of my favorite highwaisted paper bag leather shorts! Together they are cute, but can feel kind of plain and show more skin than I am comfortable with this time of year. So I added this longline light weight blazer, a black fedora hat, over the knee boots, and finished off with this camel coat! Adding the extra layering pieces helped this outfit go from plain and boring, to interesting and stylish!

The next piece of clothing I feel is a staple in any wardrobe is a classic black slip dress. You can wear a slip dress to work, on a date night, or a night out with the girls. In the first photo I’m wearing a thin plaid long sleeve shirt under the slip dress. Turtle necks also look great underneath. I then threw on a chunk knit cardigan and a belt to give it some shape!

In this next picture, I’m still wearing the slip dress, except I put a sweater on overtop of it. I switched out the black skinny belt for something a little chunkier and a different color, and tucked the sweater into the belt. you could throw on a pair of tennis shoes for a perfect shopping day outfit!

A long maxi skirt is also something you can always find in my closet! I especially love this one because of its neutral color palette, side slit, and bottom ruffle. Look for little details that can help make your outfit look more expensive! (Without breaking the bank). I am wearing the same camel sweater from earlier. I also switched into a pair of tennis shoes for a comfy, on the go look!

A good rock and toll T-shirt is also a fun unexpected item to have in your neutral wardrobe capsule! It’s a great way to make any outfit a little more edgy. Keeping the maxi skirt the same, I switched the camel sweater for a Guns N Roses Tee! (Just make sure you know who the band is Incase someone ask what your favorite song is…😂)

I’ve always been a sucker for a good boho 70’s look which is why I love a good pair of flare jeans, and this pair I found from FreePeople are black, which is perfect for my all black uniform at work. However, they do get a lot of wear outside of work as well. I paired them with the band Tee and blazer mentioned earlier! I tied a knot in the Tee to give it a more casual feel.

Black Flare Jeans
This simple camel colored bodysuit in the next photo has gotten a lot of wear! It’s basic enough to wear under any bottoms, and layer with just about anything. I love that bodysuits automatically give you a clean tucked-in look! I paired this basic bodysuit with a pair of skinny high waisted jeans, a floor length black duster and a black fedora hat!

- The last outfit I’m showing you is how to wear a long blazer a different way. Overtop of my camel bodysuit, I put on this light black and white longline blazer. But instead of wearing it like normal, I belted it with my brown belt. I feel like this gave me more shape and contrast! I also popped the collar to give a more structured look underneath my heavier coat.

I hope this post can help you streamline your wardrobe or at least give you inspiration! Let me know your favorite look! Be sure to leave your email to be notified whenever I upload a new post!
See you in my next post!
